England moved to the Super Eight of the World Twenty20 after their Group D match against Ireland was abandoned due to rain at the Providence Stadium.
Chasing a modest target of 121 runs, Ireland were 14 for one in 3.3 overs when heavy rains interrupted the match for the second time. Play had to be finally called off.
England thus moved to the Super Eight, pipping Ireland on the basis of a superior run rate. West Indies is the other team to have reached the second stage having topped the group.
